North American herons with long legs, a sinuous neck, and thick, dagger like bill. Head, chest, and wing plumes give a shaggy appearance. In flight, the Great Blue Heron curls its neck into a tight “S” shape; its wings are broad and rounded and its legs trail well beyond the tail. I am very passionate about wildlife and nature photography. One of my goals is to help increase public awareness of the wonders of wildlife and our natural heritage through my images. I am able to combine my love of wildlife, appreciation of the great outdoors and have a wonderful time in the process.
