Great egret
The Great Egret is a dazzling sight in many a North American wetland. Slightly smaller than a Great Blue Heron, these are still large birds with impressive wingspans. They hunt in classic heron fashion, standing immobile or wading through wetlands to capture fish with a deadly jab of their yellow bill. Great Egrets were hunted nearly to extinction for their plumes in the late nineteenth century. I am very passionate about wildlife and nature photography. One of my goals is to help increase public awareness of the wonders of wildlife and our natural heritage through my images. I am able to combine my love of wildlife, appreciation of the great outdoors and have a wonderful time in the process. Photographing wildlife in their natural habitat provides an exciting glimpse into the fascinating world of nature and wildlife. I hope you will enjoy your visit. Within these pages you'll discover our wildlife and landscape photo galleries . Which includes pictures of mammals, birds and scenic places. I encourage you and your families to photograph and observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Share your photos and your experiences outdoors, with your family and friends.
